Futuristic Flying Transportation, just like The Jetsons!

FRIDAY: Deeeesign!

Today’s post is definitely going to be one of my favorites! I have honestly been waiting for this since I was a kid loving The Jetsons on Cartoon Network!

Do you remember The Jetsons? Hanna-Barbera’s space age counterpart to The Flintstones? How does that sentence go? That.. if you remember this, then you had a happy childhood!

Well, I don’t know you, but I have always dreamt of that amazing flying car that closes up in a briefcase with just a twist of the fingers! But the magic of design doesn’t seem to ever let us down, and today’s star, even though it does not magically become a briefcase, it at least flies and it is really cool!

It’s Anoop M’s design, it’s a future concept for flying transportation!

This motor vehicle, futuristic flying transportation concept is intended for 2 people. It almost looks like a flying kite with its inimitable tail, but Anoop M. says he was inspired by a “moving shark”. The tail of this flying mechanism can move upward and act as a propeller when flying, it moves downward in order to utilize the wheel for the purpose of landing, just like an airplane.

Nevertheless, there is a bit of uncertainty if the tail is physically powerful enough to maintain the major structure of this vehicle and how the whole structure is able to balance itself with only one wheel. The main body has been designed though with cautious consideration to aerodynamics and perhaps some further aerodynamics checks and wualà, we might be moving from the roads to the skies just like The Jetsons (and if you read yesterday’s posts.. well.. 2001 Space Odyssey like a joke again today 😛 )!
